A warm welcome to Amy who is joining us in preschool, Lucy who joins the team on the downstairs floor and Liberty who is joining our BumbleBees room. We hope you have lots of fun.
Congratulations to Louise and her husband Steven on the safe arrival of their baby boy. We look forward to lots of cuddles.
We would like to say good bye and good luck to Alice as she leaves on maternity leave. We all look forward to a cuddle when baby arrives. We would also like to say a sad farewell to Lucy and Fiona who are leaving us for pastures new, good luck in the future.
Over the last couple of weeks there have been a few staff members moving around within the nursery. Some have moved up rooms with children who have moved up, this is great for continuity of care. Others have moved for the benefit of other children and we believe this will be fantastic for all children.
We would like to welcome Louise back to nursery following her maternity leave. Her return will however, be short and sweet, as she is happy to announce she is expecting baby number two in the summer. CONGRATULATIONS.
We would all like to wish Emily all the best for the future as she embarks on a new career with the NHS. Good luck, come back and visit soon.

With the weather getting colder please ensure your child comes to nursery with nice warm outdoor clothes as we always try to get them outside for fresh air.
We have recently had our Ofsted Inspection. Thank you to parents that spoke to the Ofsted inspector. Watch this space for our final Grading.
UPDATE: We are officially GOOD
There have been a few changes to staffing. All staff movement is done to ensure the best for all the children. Some staff have moved up rooms with the children, ensuring continuity.
We are so pleased to announce that the nursery owner Louise and her husband Steven have welcomed into the world the beautiful Amelia Poppy on July 9th at 9.02pm weighing in at 6lb4oz. Well done. Congratulations. We all cant wait for a cuddle.
We say a sad farewell to Jade in the Ducklings room. Jade has taken her first position as a primary school teacher. We all wish her well.
Amy joined us as a student in the ducklings room and has decided to stay. Welcome aboard! And welcome back Molly, Here to help out over the summer. We’ve missed you.
Our blooming mum -to – be Louise has now taken leave and will return to us shortly so we can all have cuddles with baby Light. Good luck Louise.
The children all gave us a fantastic smile for ther individaul and sibling phtos. They are all gorgeous.
A WARM WELCOME
A warm welcome to Carly who joins the Blue team in the Ladybirds room.
A massive welcome back to Carolyn. Carolyn left us just a year ago but we welcome her back with open arms – its great to have you back. You have been missed.
The outside play area has had an injection of colour, as well as some new features. Look out over the next few months for even more new additions to help enhance the childrens learning.
30 HOURS FUNDING
The new 30hours government funding is coming into place in September this year. More information will be avaliable shortly.
Within Nursery there have been a few staffing changes.
In Ladybirds room (babies) Shell Kelly The room leader is reducing her days and RachaelHutchinson (from pre school) is joining her in babies in a job share role.
Taking over as room Leader in the Pre school room is Katy Chapman. Katy has worked in pre school for a few years and is now stepping up to lead the room.
Joining the preschool team is Suzi Help, moving back up to preschool from the Baby room. Suzi will be working within the room but is also taking on the SENCO role within nursery.

A new year brings some new faces to nursery. Joining our fantastic team is Stacey,Sarah, Marissa, Fiona, Josh and Lauren. Welcome to team blue.
Sadly leaving us in January is Candice. Candice is leaving to pursue a new career, we all wish her all the best – come back and visit soon.
HAPPY NEW YEAR
A SAD FAREWELL
Next week we will be bidding a sad farewell to two fantastic memebers of staff. Both of whom are about to embark on a new exciting chapter in their lives.
Megan (preschool team memeber) is leaving on a two year adventure, starting her travels in South East Asia, she will eventually make her way to Australia. Have fun Megan, send us all postcards of your travels.
Catherine (Dragonflies team member) is leaving behind the bleak, cold weather that is England, to start a new family life down under in Australia. We wish you all a fantastic, happy and healthy life.
We will all miss you both.
FIRE ALARM PRACTICE
On Friday 2nd December all the staff safely and sucessfully lead all children to ‘safety’ and reassured those who were a little unsure of the fire alarm. Well done to all the staff and children. Its good to always be prepared.
A WELCOME RETURN
We would all like to say a massive WELCOME BACK to Rachael Hutchinson, She returns to us 2 1/2 days a week as shared room leader in Preschool.
ITS GETTING CHILLY
We always try to get outside for a bit of fresh air everyday and now that the weather is turning cold, wet and wintery, please provide your child with a warm/weatherproof coat, hat, gloves and wellies so that we can continue to use our outdoor provision. Thanks
We are now the proud owners of a fantastic large wooden fire engine comprising of a sit in and ‘drive’ front cab with twin steering wheels, a climbing wall and slide, a basket ball net, hidy hole and ball rolling ramps. Lots of role play experiences to be had as well as challenging the children to climb the climbing wall to then decend on the slide. The children have been so excited to watch as it was put together in our outdoor area.
SCHOOL LEAVERS 2016
We are very proud of all our pre-school children as they have all blossomed into beautiful little individual people with fantastic personalities.
We are sad to see them leave, but proud that we were able to be part of their lives and help them learn and develop. We wish them all the best of luck in their new schools and hope they will pop back to see us sometime.

with the weather now getting better (As good as we get in England)please can you ensure yu provide a named sun hat and suncream so we can all stay safe whilst out in the sun!
OUTDOOR PLAY AREA
In April we held a parent help a hand weekend to enhance our outdoor learning environment. We made a mud kitchen for the discovery garden and a water wall feature. A MASSIVE thank you to the parents that gave up their free time to help, all the children love the changes.
As well as enhancing the area by building things, we turned the shed I to a book hit and other resources were purchased such as:
A new water tray
Ball, hoops, physical development toys
Baby sand and water tray
Sand and water equipment
Digging resources such as spades, growls and forks
More tables and chairs for the children
Small ICT resources
We are pleased to announce that we are currently having a fire engine play frame built for us that will be situated in the middle of the playground for the children to develop their social and physical development as well as learning about risk taking.
A massive congratulations to Rachael and Richard on the safe arrival of their baby girl. We cant wait to meet her and have lots of cuddles.
